Reading mode, and what's new since your last visit

Reading mode
The book button in the header, the switch at the top of the light & motion drawer, and “Just let me read” on the first-visit welcome all do the same thing: switch to Stone & Lapis, stop the ink, turn on more contrast and turn off cursor effects, in one go. The ink behind the page fades back too. Tap it again and your earlier light, motion, contrast and cursor choices come back. It’s remembered between visits, and changing any one setting yourself simply leaves reading mode.
What’s new since your last visit
When you come back, a quiet count appears beside the search button if anything was added since you were last here: changelog entries, library write-ups, and changes in the ledger. New things are marked where they appear, and the count opens a list of them in / search. Opening it, or opening the new page itself, clears it. First visits show nothing, and it all stays in your browser.
Both work on the entry portal, this AstroLog, Christopher’s lab and the dApp preview.
